CVE-2024-1647Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Local file disclosure via unvalidated HTML iframes

Published Feb 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2025

Local file disclosure in pyhtml2pdf 0.0.6 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary host files through crafted HTML content. The converter sends unvalidated HTML to headless Chrome; file-scheme iframes load local paths and embed their contents in the returned PDF. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled HTML into the library, but no authentication or user interaction is required at that integration boundary.
