CVE-2024-1606Network attack vector

Authenticated phishing via unsanitized HTML injection

Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024

HTML injection in BMC Control-M 9.0.20 and 9.0.21 allows remote authenticated users to alter generated web pages via crafted input. The public disclosure states that input is not sanitized before incorporation as HTML, but it does not identify the affected endpoint, parameter, or function. A logged-in account and interaction by another user are required; injected links can direct that user to an attacker-controlled site for phishing.
