Stored XSS via unescaped form labels
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Stored XSS in SendPress Newsletters 1.23.11.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through form labels. The Forms settings workflow stores multiple label and button-text fields without sanitizing them or escaping their values when rendered. Administrator access is required to save a crafted label, and the payload executes when the stored setting is rendered even if unfiltered_html is disabled.
