Stored XSS via unescaped Read More override
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Stored XSS in SendPress Newsletters 1.23.11.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an advanced setting. The Advanced Settings Read More override value is stored without sanitization and rendered without escaping, so a crafted HTML attribute executes when the settings view reloads. Administrator-level access and victim interaction with that view are required; exploitation remains possible when unfiltered_html is disabled, including in multisite installations.
