CVE-2024-1574

Administrative code execution via licensing file tampering

Published Jul 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Unsafe reflection in the licensing feature of Mitsubishi Electric automation products allows local users to execute code as administrators. The feature selects executable code from a system-unprotected file that a local user can alter; the vendor has not disclosed the file name or parsing locus. Exploitation requires low local privileges, user interaction, and a high-complexity path, with successful execution compromising the host.
