Authenticated metadata disclosure via unchecked shortcode parameters
Published Mar 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024
Improper access control in Brainstorm Force Schema Pro before 2.7.16 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary post metadata. The aiosrs_pro_custom_field shortcode accepts attacker-chosen post_id and field_key values and returns the matching meta value without checking post access. Contributor-level access is sufficient; previewing a crafted post discloses custom fields from posts of any type or status.
