Unrestricted file upload in Hitachi Energy RTU500 Series CMU Firmware allows remote authenticated users to suppress diagnostic text. The stb-language file handler processes a specially crafted uploaded language file and replaces diagnostic text with empty strings. Access requires an authorized account with file-upload capability; exploitation degrades diagnostic visibility without reported confidentiality or integrity effects.
