Dangerous file upload in Hitachi Energy RTU500 Series CMU Firmware allows remote authenticated users to expose memory through system logs. The STB-language file handler processes a crafted upload so that random memory contents are written into the RTU500 system log. Exploitation requires an authorized upload and affects log confidentiality and integrity, with device availability also exposed to impact.
