CVE-2024-1509

Traffic interception via missing HSTS enforcement

Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025

Missing HSTS in Brocade Active Support Connectivity Gateway before 3.2.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to strip WebGui HTTPS. WebGui responses on ports 8030 and 8100 omit the Strict-Transport-Security header, so browsers are not instructed to require HTTPS. An attacker must occupy an adjacent network position and control a protocol downgrade to intercept or alter WebGui traffic and hijack cookies.
