Data erasure via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Themeum Tutor LMS 2.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to erase site data via a forged request. The erase_tutor_data() function accepts an administrative request without validating a nonce, then deactivates the plugin and deletes Tutor LMS data. Exploitation requires the Erase upon uninstallation option and a site administrator to open an attacker-controlled link.
