Plugin installation via missing CSRF nonce
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Database Reset 3.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to install WP Reset through an administrator's browser. The install_wpr() handler accepts a forged installation request without validating a WordPress nonce before installing the separate plugin. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted link or page, and the reported consequence is plugin installation rather than database reset.
