Regular expression denial of service in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the server via dependency files. The dependency linker applies an inefficient regular expression while generating links from attacker-controlled dependency-file content. Low-privileged access is required to submit content for processing; the documented consequence is server availability loss only.
