Unauthenticated content disclosure through REST API
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Coming Soon, Maintenance Mode 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to read protected post and page content. The plugin's REST API handling returns that content without enforcing the maintenance-mode restriction applied to ordinary site requests. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented impact is limited to content hidden by the active site mode.
