Code execution via out-of-bounds DICOM read
Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Santesoft Sante DICOM Viewer Pro 14.0.3 and earlier allows local users to disclose data or execute code. The application reads beyond a memory buffer while parsing a crafted DICOM file; CISA has not disclosed the affected parser routine or missing bounds check. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, so network exposure alone does not trigger the documented flaw.
