Unpublished content disclosure via unchecked Query Loop status
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in GenerateBlocks 1.8.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read unpublished WordPress content. The Query Loop block accepts a caller-selected post status and builds the content query without checking whether the account can read that status. Contributor access is sufficient to expose draft, private, and scheduled posts or pages; no write or availability impact is reported.
