Unauthorized edits via missing authorization
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Improper authorization in OpenBoxes before 0.9.3 allows remote authenticated users to modify product supplier records via edit. RoleInterceptor.groovy omitted productSupplier/edit from its protected action maps, and runtime.groovy enforced only create and delete, so the edit endpoint skipped the intended admin or product-manager check. Any authenticated account with basic ROLE_BROWSER access could load the form and submit changes to existing supplier entries; published sources describe record modification, not code execution or broader privilege takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
