CVE-2024-13994Network attack vector

Account takeover via unauthorized login ticket creation

Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025

Missing authorization in Nagios XI before 2024R1.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to create valid login credentials for other users. When Allow Insecure Logins is enabled, the insecure login ticket workflow issues a credential for a target account without verifying the requesting user's authorization. Any XI user can impersonate the targeted account, so selecting an administrator account grants control of the web interface; the behavior is unreachable when the option is disabled.
