CVE-2024-13951Network attack vector

Sensitive information exposure via predictable hash salt

Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Predictable-salt hashing in ABB ASPECT 3.08.03 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to expose sensitive information. ABB has not disclosed which ASPECT data is hashed or how the salt is derived, beyond confirming that the one-way hash uses a predictable salt. Exploitation requires low-privileged network access, and the disclosed impact includes data exposure, limited tampering, and service interruption.
