Site file and settings manipulation via forged requests
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Chimp Group FoodBakery 4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter site files and settings. Eight administrative handlers accept state-changing requests without valid WordPress nonce checks, including theme_option_save and foodbakery_var_backup_file_delete. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to open an attacker-controlled link or page, enabling file deletion, backup operations, widget-data export or import, and theme-option changes.
