Administrator-context script execution via addPost_linkID reflection
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in Link My Posts 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The lmp_addPost administration page writes the addPost_linkID query parameter into its response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user to open the crafted link, after which script runs in that user's WordPress session.
