Administrator-context script execution via unescaped search input
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in SpotBot 0.1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The sb_list administration page returns the spotbot_search parameter without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated high-privilege user to follow the crafted link; script execution is limited to that user's browser context.
