Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Jakob42 Reaction Buttons 2.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The plugin stores insufficiently sanitized setting values and renders them on pages without adequate output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations and sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; visiting an injected page executes the script.
