Authenticated PHP execution via unchecked shortcode layout
Published Mar 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Local file inclusion in Nicdark Restaurant Reservations 1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side PHP. The nd_rst_search shortcode passes its attacker-controlled nd_rst_layout attribute into a PHP include operation without restricting the path to approved layouts. Contributor-level access and a readable local file containing PHP code are required; successful inclusion runs that code with the WordPress process's privileges.
