Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated action value
Published Apr 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in AnpsThemes Anps Theme plugin 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. An action handler passes an attacker-controlled value to do_shortcode without validation, causing WordPress to interpret the supplied shortcode. No authentication or user interaction is required; available shortcodes determine the resulting unauthorized reads or writes.
