Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in BWL Advanced FAQ Manager 2.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify WordPress options. The baf_set_notice_status AJAX action omits a capability check and writes an attacker-selected option value as 1. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to enable site registration or set an option that triggers an error and interrupts service.
