Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated AJAX input
Published May 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary shortcode execution in Wolmart 1.8.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to invoke WordPress shortcodes through an AJAX request. The wolmart_loadmore action accepts an attacker-controlled value without adequate validation and passes it to do_shortcode. No authentication is required, and the resulting actions depend on the shortcode handlers registered by the affected WordPress site.
