Command injection in GitHub Enterprise Server allows remote authenticated users to gain admin SSH access through SMTP configuration. GitHub identifies the vulnerable locus as Nomad template generation for SMTP options but has not disclosed the specific missing validation or escaping. Exploitation requires network access to the instance and an editor role in the Management Console; successful injection grants appliance administration through SSH.
