Font assignment deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in the CITS Support WordPress plugin 4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete font assignments. The cits_assign_fonts_tab() handler processes the state-changing font-assignment request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a signed-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the demonstrated consequence is deletion of font assignments.
