Post metadata modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in NOUS Open Useful and Simple Event Post 5.9.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter post metadata. The save_bulkdatas function accepts a forged bulk-edit request without validating a WordPress nonce, then writes supplied post_meta_data. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to follow an attacker-controlled link or submit the forged request, and the documented consequence is unauthorized post-metadata modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
