Private message disclosure via unchecked conversation key
Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Insecure direct object reference in ProfileGrid 5.9.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read other users' private conversations. The pm_messenger_show_messages function accepts a user-controlled conversation key without validating that it belongs to the requester. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the exposed data is limited to private message content.
