Subscriber-level post deletion via unchecked template handlers
Published Mar 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in StylemixThemes Motors 1.4.57 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete posts or create templates. The motors_create_template and motors_delete_template handlers accept requests without checking the caller's WordPress capability, then create a listing template or delete a caller-selected post. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, but the vulnerable handlers are reachable only when Elementor is installed.
