Stored script execution via unescaped campaign names
Published Feb 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in HurryTimer 2.11.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a campaign name. The campaign-name field is saved without sufficient input sanitization and later rendered without output escaping, causing stored markup to execute in a visitor's browser. Contributor-level access or higher is required to plant the payload, and execution occurs when a user opens a page containing the affected campaign.
