Stored XSS via unescaped podcast summary
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Podlove Podcast Publisher before 4.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the podcast summary. The podcast summary setting is stored without sanitization and rendered without output escaping, so attacker-supplied markup executes in an administrator's browser. Administrator-level access is required, and exploitation remains possible when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on WordPress multisite installations.
