CVE-2024-1371Network attack vector

Unauthenticated post deletion via public REST proxy

Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Missing authorization in LeadConnector 1.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary WordPress posts through its REST API. The public lc_public_api/v1/proxy route accepts the wp_delete_post action with an attacker-supplied post ID because its permission callback always returns true and lc_public_api_proxy performs no capability check. No account or user interaction is required, and successful requests can remove any selected post or page from the site.
