CVE-2024-13688Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated content access via forged password cookie

Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Authentication bypass in Bowo Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE) before 7.6.10 allows remote attackers to view password-protected sites. The Password Protection handler accepts a forged asenha_password_protection cookie containing the plugin's hard-coded password hash instead of validating a site-specific secret. The feature must be enabled, but no WordPress account or user interaction is required, and exploitation discloses content hidden by the site-wide gate.
