Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes

Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in markodonnell Coaching Staffs 1.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via mstw-cs-table attributes. The mstw-cs-table handler renders user-controlled shortcode attributes without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, which executes in browsers that subsequently open the injected page.
