Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Vernon Systems eHive Objects Image Grid 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via a shortcode. The ehive_objects_image_grid shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes without adequate sanitization and emits them into page output without escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is viewed.
