Exam setting manipulation via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Themes Awesome SakolaWP 1.0.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter exam settings through forged requests. The save_exam_setting and delete_exam_setting actions accept state-changing requests without valid WordPress nonce verification. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to interact with attacker-controlled content, after which exam settings can be updated or deleted under that administrator’s authority.
