Stored XSS via unescaped Image Hotspot attributes
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in MotoPress Stratum Widgets for Elementor 1.4.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The Image Hotspot widget stores user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and emits them without context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to place the payload in a page, and the script runs when a visitor opens that page.
