Stored XSS via unescaped cookie-popup settings
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in The GDPR Framework before 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through cookie-popup settings. The cookie-popup header and content fields store administrator-supplied HTML without sanitization or output escaping and render it on the site frontend. Administrator access is required, including where unfiltered_html is disabled, and a visitor must load the affected page for script execution.
