Stored XSS via unsanitized follower username
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Social Snap 1.3.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a follower username. The Social Followers network setup stores the username setting without sanitization and renders it without output escaping when the page is revisited. Administrator privileges and a victim who opens the affected settings page are required, and exposure persists when unfiltered_html is disabled, including multisite deployments.
