CVE-2024-13610Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized YouTube Channel ID

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in WPBrigade Simple Social Buttons before 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via widget settings. The Social Follow Widget stores a crafted YouTube Channel ID without sanitizing or escaping it, allowing an injected event handler to run when the value is rendered. Administrator-level access is required, and execution also requires another user to interact with the rendered widget; the flaw remains reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on multisite installations.
