Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in SoftDiscover Zigaform Lite 7.4.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the zgfm_fvar shortcode. The shortcode handler accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization and outputs them without context-appropriate escaping, preserving attacker-controlled script markup in page content. Contributor-level access is required to create the payload, and the script executes when a user visits the injected page, enabling browser-context data access or content modification.
