Stored XSS via unescaped headline attributes
Published Feb 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Apollo13Themes Rife Extensions & Templates for Elementor 1.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The Writing Effect Headline shortcode renders user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, preserving executable markup in page content. Contributor-level access or higher is required to plant the payload, which runs in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is opened.
