Unauthenticated data disclosure via public importer files
Published Jan 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Import WP 2.14.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to read raw importer files over the network. The plugin stores imported CSV and XML source files beneath the publicly served /wp-content/uploads/ tree without blocking direct HTTP access. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to data present in those files, including imported or local user data.
