Stored XSS via unescaped plugin settings
Published Jan 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in MarketKing 1.9.80 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The settings handling stores insufficiently sanitized input and later renders it without adequate output escaping, causing supplied scripts to execute when an injected page is opened. Shop Manager privileges or higher are required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; exploitation can alter or disclose page-accessible data.
