Admin-level stored XSS via unsanitized Title value
Published Jan 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Easy Digital Downloads 3.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a Title value. The Title value is stored without sufficient input sanitization and rendered without output escaping, causing injected JavaScript to execute when a user opens the affected page. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled, exposing page viewers to script execution.
