Untrusted TLS connections via skipped peer validation

Improper certificate validation in MongoDB Server allows remote attackers to establish untrusted TLS connections to affected servers. When TLS is enabled without net.tls.CAFile, the inbound TLS path omits peer-certificate validation instead of rejecting an untrusted certificate in 4.4.0 through 4.4.28, 5.0.0 through 5.0.24, 6.0.0 through 6.0.13, and 7.0.0 through 7.0.5. Attackers must reach the service from an adjacent network under that configuration and gain only the database access granted to the accepted peer.
