Unauthenticated uploaded-file disclosure via predictable filenames
Published Mar 12, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Basix NEX-Forms 8.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read files uploaded through forms. The file-upload storage logic leaves directory listing enabled and stores uploads without randomized names, making stored files enumerable or guessable. No authentication or user interaction is required; exposure is limited to files already uploaded through a configured NEX-Forms form.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
