CVE-2024-13497Network attack vector

Unauthenticated stored XSS via attachment uploads

Published Mar 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in Tripetto WordPress plugin 8.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through attachment uploads. The attachment handler in lib/attachments.php accepts upload data without sufficient sanitization and later returns it without adequate output escaping. No authentication is required to plant a payload; script execution occurs in the site's origin only when a user accesses the uploaded file.
